The Bhumjaithai Party leader has reiterated the party’s policy to make marijuana a new economic crop, as well as sharing his ideas for commercialising the once-universally-illegal plant.
Anutin was speaking during his visit yesterday to a hospital in Prachin Buri province in Thailand’s eastern region. The visit was aimed at creating a better understanding with its staff about future projects related to marijuana-based products, he said.
Chaophraya Abhaibhubejhr Hospital has been known for its products based on alternative medicines, even producing a number of marijuana-based potions with permission.
Anutin has also been tipped concurrently as a deputy prime minister in an unconfirmed Cabinet list. A royal endorsement to formally recognise the new Cabinet is expected by the middle of this month.
