The ministry said it had instructed Thai embassies in both countries to prepare for emergencies and expedite evacuations. Thai citizens residing in these areas are urged to closely monitor local news and announcements, the ministry said.
Following reports of the recent attack on Iran on Friday, which has led to uncertainty, Minister of Foreign Affairs Parnpree Bahiddha-Nukara instructed the ministry permanent secretary on Friday to convene a remote meeting with ambassadors stationed in Tel Aviv, Tehran and Amman. The meeting was aimed at monitoring the situation in the region and coordinating other relevant preparations. At present, there have been no reports of Thai citizens in Israel and Iran being affected by the conflict.
As the situation remains risky and unpredictable, Thai citizens are urged to refrain from travelling to the aforementioned areas. They should also remain vigilant, follow local news, and updates from Thai embassies, particularly the embassies in Tel Aviv and Tehran, the ministry said.
