The service received the Brand of the Year Award at the 4th World Branding Awards held on October 11 by the World Branding Forum, in a ceremony held at the Kensington Palace in Longdon, United Kingdom.
Winners are judged based on brand valuation, consumer market research, and public online voting. Some 70 per cent of the score comes from consumer market research and online voting categories.
“It has been a great honour ,” said Vichaow Rakphongphairoj, True Corporation Plc’s president (co)-commercial, noting that True was the only brand from Thailand to receive an award this year.
“True Online is very proud of this international recognition as the World Branding Award is recognised as the ultimate global brand recognition accolade,” said Vichaow in a press release. He said the company would strive to reach higher levels of customer satisfaction and global recognition.
The ceremony gave out 245 awards to companies “at the very top of their branding game,” said Richard Rowles, chairman of the World Branding Forum.
“With so many in the competition, it is difficult for brands to win in their respective categories,” he said.
