Privilege Card woos more members
Thailand Privilege Card Plc (TPC), the operator of Thailand Elite Card, will in 2018 focus on expanding memberships to investors, business owners, retired foreigners who intend to stay long in Thailand and also family groups as “Resident in Thailand” because these groups are expected to be major tourism revenue drivers for Thailand. TPC president Pruet Boobphakam said yesterday that these groups of people are expected to buy properties with prices ranging between Bt5 million to Bt10 million. Even if only 30 per cent of the TPC members, about 1,500, buy only 30 per cent of properties, that would bring an investment of more than Bt7.5 billion in Thailand.
Under the 2018 vision entitled “Simply Extraordinary Country Residency programme Crafted for Friends of Thailand”, TPC also plans to launch “Wealth Management” for its members by finding more partnerships to take care of Thailand residency. The products will be crafted to clearly meet residency needs.
TPC is 100 per cent owned by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT). Thailand Elite Card had a total of 4,877 members as of September 30 this year, since its launch in 2009.
