LG eyes leadership of Thai inverter air-conditioner market

Home-appliances giant LG Electronics is strengthening its global leadership in inverter technology for residential air-conditioners, unveiling a new Dual Inverter line-up for lower-energy consumption and optimal efficiency.

The new range highlights LG DUALCOOL technology accompanied with an air purifier.
The South Korean maker’s local unit, LG Electronics (Thailand), is now targeting to become Thailand’s leader in the inverter air-conditioner market with a 25-per-cent share.
Marketing director Nipon Wongsaengarunsri said on Tuesday: “When you desire of a house filled with high comfort, LG home appliances can distinctly meet the requirement. We are committed to developing new features to elevate people’s quality of life, especially developing air-conditioners that do not only keep your home cool, but also encourage better health for everyone in the home.
“Also, LG’s Dual Inverter has widely been recognised by users worldwide that it can truly reduce energy consumption.”
LG’s new air conditioner line-up comprises five models covering all segments in 2018, with each product strongly maintaining energy-saving efficiency and offering various advanced features, with 70 per cent less energy consumption and 40 per cent faster cooling performance, according to the company.
Three of the new inverter models also come equipped with SmartThinQ application, a feature that enables users to control the air-conditioner beyond only power on and off functions anywhere any time, even when they are away.
They can also diagnose common problems through the Smart Diagnosis program.
LG says it is the only brand in the market that ensures safety against high-voltage or power surges of up to 450 volts and provides a three-year warranty on the condensers and a 10-year warranty on compressors.
