Snapask (Thailand) to launch one-to-one tutoring app 

SNAPASK (Thailand) will officially introduce Snapask mobile application, the instant one-to-one tutoring service for secondary school students in February. The firm expects to reach 50,000 - 100,000 students with 500 local tutors by the end of this year.

Chaval Jiaravanon, CEO of Snapask (Thailand) said the firm will join Snapask (Hong Kong) in launching the Snapask mobile application. 
The instant one-to-one online tutoring service is designed for secondary school student , aged between 13-17 year olds or middle to high school students, grades 7-12. 
The service allows students to register and download its mobile application in order to ask academic questions anywhere , anytime, 24 hours a day. 
Student will get clear answers and explanations from qualified tutors within 1 minute. 
The service will be available next month and will provide tutors in five academic subjects including Mathematic, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English. 
He said that the firm in the next step will also provide exam coach feature that utilises data analytics, machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI) technology to analyse each student's weakness in a particular subject, consequently design and create personalised tests to deliver personalised learning and improve the learning process of each student .
He said that the firm expects that it will reach around 50,000 - 100,000 users and it will have around 500 local tutors by the end of this year. 
The service fee charge will start at Bt179 per five questions per month and Bt1,667 for an unlimited monthly package. 
It will also provide two questions free of charge for those who register for the first-time. 
The firm will also utilise digital marketing to reach its customers in Thailand, which has a total of about 10 million users or students nationwide. 
Student, moreover, will able to reach its service via mobile application named Snapask and its website www.snapask.com.
Timothy Yu, founder and CEO of Snapask (Hong Kong), an instant one -to-one online tutor service based in Hong Kong, said the corporation will create revenue sharing for the service between Snapask (Hong Kong) and Snapask (Thailand). TheHong Kong firm will provide system and technical support for the service. 
It now has around 450,000 member users in six countries - Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Taiwan. It also has around 30,000 tutors. Its biggest market is Hong Kong with around 350,000 users , followed by Taiwan and Singapore.

Fund-raising 
He added that the firm has conducted a survey on tutor service fees in Thailand. It was found that parents had to pay more than Bt100,000 per year for their children' additional after-class tutoring fees. Moreover, students are often given a lot of difficult homework. Therefore, Snapask is an appropriate option for student and family in the digital era. 
The firm, by the end of this year, will expand its market to Australia, New Zealand and UK. It aims to expand its business base to more than 30 countries within 2020.
The firm has also raised series A fund of around US$15 million from various venture capitals such as Meitu, Tencent and Kejora.
 It also has plan to tap fund Series B in the next step.
