Nuntawan Sakuntanaga, director-general of the Export Promotion Department, said that the department needs to postpone the fair to ensure that all exhibitors can join. The fair is expected to be a major event, Nuntawan said, with more than 1,000 Thai and foreign exhibitors participating.
The exhibition will be held at Challenger Hall, Impact Muangthong Thani.
Morgan Stanley ups Asia/EM weighting
Morgan Stanley has boosted its weighting for emerging-market and Asian equities to “maximum overweight” for the first time since October 2008.
The US brokerage forecasts the MSCI Emerging Markets Index may rise to 1,210 by the end of next year, while the MSCI Asia Pacific excluding Japan index may climb to 530, Jonathan Garner, Morgan Stanley’s chief emerging-market and Asia strategist, said in a report. – Bloomberg
“We reassert our belief that the general global macro-environment is characterised by the painful birth of the Asia/EM centric global economy,” Garner wrote. Asian and emerging-market stocks “remain in an earnings-driven secular bull market”.
