4.6% GROWTH FORECAST
The economy will grow 4.6 per cent this year, against 4 per cent in 2017, Government Savings Bank's research centre forecasts.
The bullish view is based on expectations for further strong growth in exports and services – especially tourism – in 2018, bank's president and chief executive officer Chatchai Payuhanaveechai said yesterday.
He said proposed government's investment in infrastructure, due to start this year, would boost domestic consumption.
