INFLATION RISE IN OCTOBER FOR 16TH MONTH IN A ROW

Thailand’s inflation rose 1.23 per cent in October for the 16th month in a row, director-general Pimchanok Vonkorpon of the Trade Policy and Strategy Office under the Commerce Ministry said yesterday.

She added that the higher inflation rate in October followed price increases of energy and food prices in the first ten months with an average inflation rate of 1.15 per cent.
However, the country’s inflation has been kept below 1.25 per cent as targeted, she said.
