TrueMove H, the 4G+ mobile service in Thailand, and WeChat, the leading social communications app in China from Tencent, have jointly launched "TrueMove H WeChat Go SIM," a prepaid SIM card specifically designed for Chinese tourists.
This is an exclusive deal between TrueMove H and Tencent to provide customers with a convenient way to enjoy unlimited use of WeChat services and a shared experience in Thailand through the TrueMove H 4G+ HD network which offers nationwide coverage, True Corporation Plc’s group chief commercial officer Suphakit Vuntanadit said yesterday.
He added that tourism in Thailand has been continuously growing, particularly from Chinese tourists who consider Thailand a top destination to visit. Last year, Thailand welcomed 9.5 million Chinese tourists, with the number this year expected to reach 12 million. The company is now collaborating with WeChat to ensure that Chinese tourists in Thailand are not only enjoying sightseeing and great food, but also have great experiences which they can share on their social networks while traveling.
