Drunk Phuket Tuk Tuk driver charged after running red lights
A drunk Tuk Tuk taxi driver has been charged after running through red lights in Patong.
Patong police say the taxi driver ran red lights at 4.45pm from the traffic light near Bangla Road, Jungceylon Department Store and Patong police station.
The Tuk Tuk was headed to Kathu and Phuket Town.
Five Patong traffic police attempted to stop the Tuk Tuk, which eventually stopped at the driver's house in Koh Kaew.
The driver, who police say was intoxicated, was arrested and charged with careless driving, endangering the safety of others and drunk driving.
