Three Chinese arrested on burglary charges

Three Chinese nationals have been arrested for allegedly breaking into three companies and stealing cash and valuables.

Immigration Bureau acting commissioner Pol Maj-General Surachate Hakpal on Tuesday held a press conference at the bureau to announce the arrest of Huang Hanqin, 48, Huang Haining, 29, and Huang Jidong, 36 – all male.
Surachate said another suspect, Wei Jinlian, 36, was still on the run.
The three suspects were arrested on Saturday, not long after they allegedly broke into STI Precision Co Ltd in Samut Sakhon’s Mueang district and stole Bt500,000 and 3 million yen (Bt880,250) in cash from the company’s safe.
The four suspects were caught in the act on STI Precision’s security cameras, Surachate said.
He said they were also seen on security cameras committing two other burglaries.
On September 8, they allegedly broke into Fashion Food Co Ltd in Nakhon Pathom’s Sam Phran district and made off with Bt18,000 from a safe.
On September 15, the suspects allegedly broke into JVJ Co Ltd in Nakhon Pathom’s Mueang district and made off with a Bt200,000 gold necklace from the company’s safe.
Surachate said records showed that the four had entered Thailand on September 4 via the checkpoint at the Thai-Lao Friendship Bridge in Chiang Rai province, and had left the Kingdom via Suvarnabhumi Airport on September 18.
They re-entered the country on November 16 and were arrested two days later following the latest robbery.
Surachate also claimed that about 20 Chinese men from Guangxi province had entered Thailand in groups of three of four to commit burglaries in the jurisdictions of Provincial Police bureaus 1, 2, 5 and 6.
