Harbour officials check safety measures at popular Ratchaprapa Dam
With New Year holiday tourists in mind, harbour officials on Tuesday checked the safety measures at the pier of Ratchaprapa Dam in Surat Thani.
Wichai Khamkong, director of the Fourth Harbour Region Office led officials to check the pier, along with boats that take visitors on tours of the dam’s reservoir.
Wichai said the officials verified the high safety level at the dam and that all boats will provide life vests to every customer.
Wichai said all boat operators cooperated with the authorities by conforming to the safety measures.
He said the pier operator was told to paint a yellow line for tourists to stay behind while lining up for the boats.
