Bangalore Fashion Week's runways extend to Bangkok for event this weekend at CentralWorld

The work of Indian designers will be on display in Bangkok this week as Bangalore Fashion Week makes a three-day stop on its world tour.
Founded in 2009, the event is spreading its wings and introducing Indian’s top talent to the global fashion industry.
Regarded as the premier fashion event in India, the biannual showings have wowed both trade and celebrities in the subcontinent’s IT capital.
Organisers Dream Merchants are aiming to create new business relationships while promoting a wealth of Indian-Thai styles.
Involving more than 50 models from India and other countries, the event will showcase the creations of 30 designers from India and Thailand with a focus on fashion for the summer months.
Dressing styles vary widely across India and are influenced by ethnicity and religions. Deeply rooted in traditions, Indian costumes are known the world over for their colour and decoration.
Collections by designers Tannishtha Saha, Abhishek Singh, Geetika Suneja, Neil n Sushi, Len Nepomuceno and Abhishek Dutta are all slated for the first day, with Amrita & Kanchan, Uma Rati, Phavini Kalra, Neena, Dianna and Mona Pali showing on the second day. The extravaganza will wrap with outfits by Rupa G, Kartick Kapoor, Noynah Sunitha, Vijay Rana, Bonny and Neeta Lulla, often referred to as the queen of Bollywood fashion.
The fashion festival will also feature jewellery, fashion accessories and lifestyle products from 80 exhibitors along with seminars, presentations and workshops aimed at business professionals.
