Sixth FAST Auto Show kicks off at Bitec

The show, featuring 16,000 square metres of exhibition area, kicked off at the Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre (Bitec) yesterday and goes on until Sunday. 
Show organiser Pattanadesh Asasappakij, a well-known auto critic, says 250,000 visitors are expected to turn up to check out both new and certified used vehicles. A total of 12 auto companies and 15 used-car dealerships are taking part. 
“We are staging the event for the sixth straight year, after five years of success,” he said. 
“In 2016, a total of 252,216 people came to the show, while 2,729 automobiles and 1,526 motorcycles were sold. This year the show area is 16,000sqm and we offer visitors the chance to shop for new and attractive used vehicles that have been carefully selected for this event. 
“This year we also expect to attract more than 250,000 visitors, while auto sales are expected to reach 3,000 units, comprising 2,000 new cars and 1,000 used cars.” 
All companies represented at the show are offering special promotions and sales campaigns, ranging from price discounts to low interest rates and long instalment periods. 
Kusumann Lowsalaraks, executive vice president for marketing in charge of auto financing at Bank of Ayudhya, one of the main sponsors of the show, said: “The automobile market during the next seven months is expected to grow continuously because of many positive factors including the improving economy, increased public consumption, introductions of new car models and the rising number of used cars in the market. 
“The car-financing market is forecast to grow continuously as well, and Krungsri Auto is confident that the FAST Auto Show Thailand will serve as another positive factor to help stimulate the market.” 
Apart from promotions from auto companies and used-car dealers, buyers can also enjoy special offers from Krungsri Auto.
