Volvo to push plug-in hybrids

Volvo Car Thailand has announced a significant move to embrace electrification with the planned marketing of the T8 Twin-Engine AWD Plug-in Hybrid (407 horsepower) version on the Volvo S90 premium sedan lineup in the near future.
The S90 premium sedan will propose a competitive line-up with two Diesel versions – D4 Momentum and D4 Inscription (CBU) – and two new T8 Twin-Engine AWD Plug-in Hybrid – the S90 T8 Twin Engine AWD Plug-in Hybrid Momentum and S90 T8 Twin Engine AWD Plug-in Hybrid Inscription.
Chris Wailes, managing director of Volvo Car Thailand, said: “We’re incredibly excited about the new S90 T8 Twin Engine AWD Plug-in Hybrid. Not only does it bring all the style and advanced technology from our award winning XC90, it is another step forward in Volvo’s transformation.”
