Audi Thailand seeks edge with focus on after-sales service

Audi Thailand is continuing its proactive strategy to build the Audi brand in Thailand by investing heavily on after-sales service.
Wallop Chalermvongsavej, vice president, head of after sale of Meister Technik Co Ltd, the official Audi importer and distributor in Thailand, said the company is focusing on its after-sales service strategy.
"After sales service strategy will be one of the keys to building customer confidence and driving the Audi brand to success in Thailand," he said. 
“To ensure the highest quality of its after sales services and to meet customer expectations, Audi Thailand expects to invest more than Bt50 million this year. The investment will cover four main areas - equipment, personnel development, IT system, and genuine parts management, to offer quick services at reasonable prices.
"We have invested over Bt15 million in tools and equipment including diagnostic and test tools, which fully meet Audi's requirements. On personnel, our investment is to lift the knowledge, expertise and experience of engineers and technicians at all levels. Leading the service team is an Irish manager who has been working for Audi for 28 years and had supervised a big dealer in South Africa. 
“We also have a Thai supervisor is the first Thai winning the master technician certificate from Audi. Other technicians attended training in Singapore and are encouraged to improve their language skills particularly English as all maintenance service standards are in English. On IT, we invested over Bt10 million in establishing the Audi-standard system and an efficient DMS system.
“On parts management, we have sought cooperation and consultation with VRAS (Volkswagen Regional Aftersales) to ensure efficient parts management," Wallop added.
The first Audi Thailand showroom and service centre, with 16 service bays, is located on New Petchburi Road.
