Energy Mahanakorn in MEA deal for charging stations
Energy Mahanakorn Co Ltd, a subsidiary of Energy Absolute Plc, signed an agreement with Metropolitan Electricity Authority (MEA) yesterday to build charge stations for electric vehicles nationwide, under the trademark EA Anywhere.
The project will promote the use of plug-in hybrid electric vehicles and battery electric vehicles nationwide, MEA governor Chaiyong Puapongsakorn said yesterday.
Under the agreement, the MEA will be involved in the preparation of locations for the establishment of EA Anywhere outlets. Energy Mahanakorn Co Ltd will set up EA Anywhere in these areas, under a target for 1,000 stations nationwide in 2018, Energy Absolute CEO Somphote Ahunai said.
