Stiebel Eltron gets on the ball with Borussia Dortmund
Stiebel Eltron, Thailand’s leading manufacturer of water heaters, water filters, hand-dryers, heat pumps and water pumps, is entering into a two-year partnership with Borussia Dortmund (BVB) football club. The two have just signed a regional partnership, which is valid in Thailand and Laos for the next two years.
“We are thrilled to announce this great cooperation with Stiebel Eltron,” said Suresh Letchmanan, Asia Pacific managing director of Borussia Dortmund. “Stiebel Eltron is a leading German brand with a strong presence in Asia. With them, we are sure to bring our black and yellow passion on the pitch to everyone in Thailand and Laos.”
The partnership features numerous activities including events with BVB’s mascot and legends in Thailand as well as lucky draws for Stiebel Eltron’s customers and BVB fans to win tickets to attend matches in Germany and Asia. A limited-edition Stiebel Eltron water heater co-branded with BVB, the XG Dortmund Limited Edition, will also be available soon at a special price of THB 5,590.

This partnership is an addition to three local football teams that the company currently supports: Chiang Mai FC, BGFC and Thai Honda Ladkrabang.
The company also announced 17-per-cent overall growth in 2018 in Thailand and expects to enjoy further growth in 2019. It has completed its second building located at its factory in Ayutthaya with an investment of over Bt200 million to boost its capacity in a more sustainable process and produce storage water heaters and heat pumps for markets across Southeast Asia. This increased productivity, as well as enhanced marketing and expanded sales channels, will enable Stiebel Eltron to continue to grow in Thailand and the region.
