Lalamove staff hauls 70kg of trash off Pattaya beaches

Sixty drivers and 150 staff members of Lalamove, which specialises in on-demand logistics, pitched in recently to clean up Jomtien and Kao Takieb beaches, aiming to enhance teamwork while helping the environment.

They collected more than 70 kilograms of plastic bags and bottles, straws, foam boxes and strands of rope.
“For the past four years Lalamove Thailand has facilitated speedy on-demand delivery for our customers. In conjunction with giving them efficient service, we are also committed to supporting the community and the environment,” said country managing director Ravi Sethi.
He said Lalamove recognises that pollution and many other problems are by-products of development and advocates reducing waste and protecting nature.
“Plenty of waste washes up on Jomtien and Kao Takieb,” said Sethi. “This is our way of encouraging our own people to preserve the environment.
“Lalamove also supports the planting of mangroves at Wang Kra Ta on Kao Yai. Our goal is to support sustainable development and create a better future for the coming generations.”
