SuperM appointed as global ambassador for Korean Air

Seoul – Korean Air appointed a Korean pop group, SuperM, as its global ambassador at Korean Air’s headquarters in Seoul on November 6. The airline also unveiled a special livery of SuperM on a Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. 

SuperM is a new group recently created by Korean management company, SM Entertainment (SM), with seven K-pop stars from existing SM boy groups: Taemin from Shinee, Kai and Baekhyun from Exo, Taeyong and Mark from NCT 127, and Ten and Lucas from WayV.

Comprised of already successful K-pop members, SuperM is expected to expand Korean pop’s popularity. Korean Air hopes to improve its global presence through collaboration with SuperM.  

SuperM also starred in the airline’s newest in-flight safety video that launched on November 4, and their song from the safety video, “Let’s go everywhere,” will be used in Korean Air’s future Global Ambassador projects.

On October 5, SuperM had its first concert in Los Angeles, and the group plans to embark on their first tour in North America starting from November. SuperM’s first album debuted at no.1 on the Billboard 200 Albums Chart.

Korean Air expects future activities with SuperM to promote the ‘Korean’ brand on the global stage.
