Meet MEA’s new mascot in ‘MEA Play Plern Park’ fair

Keerapat Jiamset, Governor of Metropolitan Electricity Authority (MEA) on Tuesday (January 7) held a press conference to introduce MEA’s newest brand mascot “MEA Jerd-Ja” in celebrating the upcoming National Children Day 2020 on Saturday (January 11) and the “MEA Play Plern Park” fair at MEA's Ploenchit office.

“With extensive experience in the energy field, MEA is committed to providing quality services to meet electricity-related needs of residents in metropolitan areas,” he said. “We hope this “MEA Jerd-Ja” mascot, a cute monster living in the electrical system, will be a communicator between MEA and electricity users, especially children, on such topics as how to use electricity safely, how to conserve energy, as well as updating new services of MEA to clients”.
On the occasion of National Children Day 2020, MEA and its Jerd-Ja mascot are inviting families to participate in fun-filled activities at the “MEA Play Plern Park” fair at MEA's Ploenchit Office, a new landmark in the heart of Bangkok next to Chidlom BTS station.
Children can learn how to build an electrical circuit via a virtual reality (VR) game, practice their aiming skills in shooting games, and ride on Bangkok’s first and only electric cable car. There will also be games with prizes, foods and drinks for every family member. The fair is scheduled from 7.30 am to 2.30pm.
Furthermore, participants coming with fabric bags will receive special gifts.
