Private charitable foundation donates Bt2m to cause of Covid-19

The IVL Foundation has made a Bt2-million donation which will be split between Ramathibodi Foundation’s “Special Fund Project to Help and Resolve Covid-19” and the “Covid-19 Relief Fund” of King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital.

These funds will contribute to treating patients and the purchase of medical supplies.
“Established in 2018, the IVL Foundation is a non-profit organisation that acts to support public interest and livelihood of communities for a sustainable society. The Covid-19 outbreak is hitting the world very hard and Thailand is no exception. It has become a huge crisis, affecting the lives of ordinary people. We realise the importance of supporting medical teams who are saving the lives of infected patients,” said Suchitra Lohia, chairperson of the foundation, which is a philanthropic arm of Indorama Ventures, one of world’s largest Thailand-based plastic recycling firms.
“It is important that we all work together to overcome this outbreak as we will overcome this crisis together. The IVL Foundation acts as a helping hand to support medical personnel in this difficult situation. Our donation is expected to improve the readiness and flexibility in the management of resources that are urgently needed. "
