Winners of government lotteries can cash their tickets at all branches of Government Savings Bank (GSB) from June 1 onwards. The new service aims to increase convenience for ticket owners so they do not have to visit the Government Lottery Office (GLO) to claim their prizes.

However, the GLO has stipulated the following conditions:

▪︎ Only the tickets from the latest draw are eligible.

▪︎ Eligible prizes are: second to fifth prizes, first three digits, last three digits, last two digits, and the numbers closest to the first prize. Winners of the first prize and other prizes must contact GLO directly.

▪︎ The tickets must be in good condition with no scratch or tear.

▪︎ Tickets must be cashed between 6pm of the latest draw date to noon of the next draw date.

▪︎ Prize money will be deposited in the GSB current deposit account of the ticketholder with no fee for inter-provincial transfer.

▪︎ Prize claimants must provide ID card with the same name as the bank account and be over 18 years old, except for those who achieved legal age by marriage.

GSB will deduct the following fees from the prize money:

▪︎ Revenue stamp fee at 0.5 per cent of prize money for government lottery, or withholding tax at 1 per cent of prize money for other charity lotteries

▪︎ Bank transaction fee at 1 per cent of prize money
