Thida Thavornset, chief adviser of the United Front of Democracy against Dictatorship, led some UDD members to hand out foods and drinks to mourners at Sanam Luang Sunday morning.

Thida was accompanied by her husband, Weng Tojirakarn, a former Pheu Thai MP.

They handed out 1,500 packs of ready meals, drinking water and juice to the people, who came to pay respects to His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej at spot on the northern side of Sanam Luang.

Thida said she UDD members in Bangkok wanted to share the public grief and wanted to show that people of all sides and groups love one another.
