Flood death toll rises to 19
The death toll in severe flooding in ten southern provinces has risen to 19, Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Director General Chatchai Promlert said Sunday.
He said one person was still missing in the floodings that have so far affected 958,602 people in 569 districts.
Chatchai said the situation has improved in Yala and Ranong and the floodings were still serious in Phatthalung, Narathiwat, Songkhla, Pattani, Trang, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, and Chumphon.
