Singer-songwriter Chulachak “Hugo" Chakrabongse Friday launched his first Thai album on Apple Music.

“Dam Sanit” is Hugo’s first Thai album since returning from New York, where he is signed to Jay-Z's Roc Nation label.

In this triumphant return to the Thai scene, “Dam Sanit” was produced by J Monton Jira, who has helped Hugo create an adult contemporary sound, with each single exploring the depths of human emotions.

The album is also stripped back, evokes a sense of minimalism where few instruments are used to create a balance of sound and silence.

The album also features songwriting from some of Thailand’s best talent including Fong Beer, Pae Arak, Eak Zero Hero, Eak Taxi and Nueng Narongvit.

Hugo’s previous work has been dubbed by Roc Nation as “gangsta-rock” and he is best known for his bluegrass cover of Jay-Z's "99 Problems" and his debut album, Old Tyme Religion which was released in 2011. Hugo is signed to Me records in Thailand.
