Protesters occupy Pak Bara project's hearing venue
A group of local people led by non-governmental organisations Wednesday night occupied Ban Pakbang School in Satun to block a public hearing forum on Pak Bara deepwater seaport.
The school will be used as a venue to conduct the forum Thursday.
Activists earlier warned that if authorities did not respond to their appeal to halt the first public hearing on the Pak Bara seaport project in Satun province within three hours, they would raid the venue on Wednesday night.
