Thailand to seek Interpol alert for fugitive ‘Boss’

Thailand to seek Interpol alert for fugitive ‘Boss’

Thai police will seek an Interpol blue notice for Vorayuth “Boss” Yoovidhya on Friday after British police said they could not find the heir to the Red Bull fortune who is wanted in a hit-and-run case that killed a police officer in Bangkok in 2012, Pol Maj-General Apichat Suriboonya, head of the Royal Thai Police’s Foreign Affairs Division, said on Thursday.

As Thai Interpol chief, Apichat said he had sought help from British Interpol to locate Vorayuth so that the Office of the Attorney-General could seek his extradition.
The Interpol Blue Notice will ask 190 member countries to locate, identify or obtain information about a person of interest in a criminal investigation.
Immigration records show Vorayuth left Thailand on April 25 for Singapore, where his private jet reportedly remains. It is believed he left Singapore for another destination on a commercial flight.
