Pathum Thani cyclist, 58, killed by ‘speeding’ car

A 58-year-old bicyclist was struck and killed by a university student’s allegedly speeding luxury car in Pathum Thani on Friday morning. There was no immediate report of any charges being laid.

Police said the accident occurred at 7.30am in front of Rajamangala Thanyaburi University in Thanyaburi district.
They said the impact of the collision broke the windshield of the BMW that struck Patthamawadee Prammaroeng and hurled her to the roadside.
BMW driver Thanadej Maksiri, 23, said he was on his way to the university, where he’s studying for a master’s degree, and did not notice the cyclist in his path.
The woman’s relatives told police she cycled to a local community market every morning to buy food.
