Don Mueang residents want 'big bags' to be removed

Some 80,000 Bangkok's Don Mueang district residents reportedly have signed a petition asking the National Flood Relief Operation Center (FROC) and the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) to remove the "Big Bag" giant sandbag floodwall.

They claimed that such floodwall caused floodwater in Don Muaeng to remain and not lowering. Previously BMA had open a six-meter section of the floodwall for them, but the residents weren’t satisfied.
However, FROC director and Justice Minister Pracha Promnok dismissed the report saying that the group didn’t submit any such petition hence he would investigate what’s going on first.
