Wall St ends near session highs

U.S. stocks closed up near session highs overnight, recovering from last week's sharp losses on positive retail sales reports.
Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 95.38 points, or 0.72 per cent, to close at 13,424.23
S&P 500 climbed 11.54 points, or 0.81 per cent, to end at 1,440.13.
Most key S&P sectors ended up, led by health care and financials, while telecoms closed in the red.
Nasdaq added 20.07 points, or 0.66 per cent at 3,064.18.
