A paramilitary ranger who allegedly shot dead his team leader and another comrade in Pattani's Mae Lan district Tuesday reportedly confessed to committing the crime out of anger because he was often scolded by the team leader.
In Tuesday’s 4.30am attack, initial reports said insurgents had ambushed a six-member patrolling team, leading to the deaths of Lance Corporal Ronnawit Singsai and paramilitary ranger Kriengsak Thooppudsa, both 31.
However, police later claimed that paramilitary ranger Sarawuth Khamphan, 21, had fired the shots that killed the two soldiers.
