Military Court extends Chaturon's detention for 12 more days

The Military Court Friday extended the detention of former education minister Chaturon Chaisang for 12 more days pending trial in the case of alleged violation of a coup order.

The first 12-day detention of Chaturon from May 28 will expire on Sunday. The court allowed investigators to detain Chaturon from Monday to June 20 after the investigators told the court that they had to question four more witnesses.
Chaturon was arrested after he defied the order of the National Council for Peace and Order to report himself. He also faced charges of instigation unrest.
