Suu Kyi launches uniform donation campaign
Yangon - National League for Democracy (NLD) has launched a campaign, urging the public to donate school uniforms, stationery and textbooks to poor children in rural areas.
In the statement released on January 30, NLD chairwoman Aung San Suu Kyi said that the items were for children aged 5-15 years living across the country.
She wishes that people of Myanmar took part in this programme, regardless of the size of their contributions. In building a new nation, sharing will benefit the less fortunate people and kindness will fill this country.
Donations are welcomed at all NLD offices nationwide.
