Los Angeles - Surviving members of The Eagles will perform a musical tribute at the Grammy Awards to Eagles co-founder Glenn Frey, who died January 18, the Recording Academy said Wednesday.
Don Henley, Bernie Leadon, Timothy B Schmidt and Joe Walsh will take the stage with Frey's long-time collaborator Jackson Browne at the Grammys on February 15 in Los Angeles.
The Eagles have sold more than 100 million records worldwide, and their compilation Their Greatest Hits (1971-1975) is the second-best-selling album of all time in the United States, behind Michael Jackson's Thriller, according to Billboard.
The Recording Academy had previously announced tribute performances by Lady Gaga in remembrance of David Bowie, who died January 10, and by Bonnie Raitt, Gary Clark Jr and Chris Stapleton in honour of bluesman BB King, who died May 14, 2015.
Other Grammy performers will include Adele, Kendrick Lamar and The Weeknd.
