Kanchanaburi Court issues search warrant against ‘tiger temple’
The Kanchanaburi Court Monday issued a search warrant against the controversial “tiger temple” as requested by a team of park officials.
The court issued the search warrant as requested by Sinchai Eksupkul, an official of the National Park, Wildlife and Plant Conservation Department, after the Luang Ta Bua Temple refused to allow the park officials to enter the temple to relocate tigers from the temple.
The park officials plan to relocate all 137 tigers from the temple to the Khao Son wildlife nursery centre in Ratchaburi but monks and laymen officials refused to allow the officials to enter the compound.
