Village defence volunteer shot dead in Pattani
A village defence volunteer riding a motorcycle to take a guard shift was shot dead last Friday night in Pattani's Thung Yang Daeng district.
Getting shot at by two men on another motorcycle, defence volunteer Seulaemae Shiva, 52, sustained gunshots in his torso and was pronounced dead upon arrival to hospital. Police suspected that the shooting was part of ongoing unrest in the region.
