Pokémon Go cheaters face lifetime ban

Pokémon Go cheaters face lifetime ban

Game developer master and Pokémon Go creator Niantic has admonished users who spoof their current location and utilize several “cheat” methods to play the viral game.

In an update posted on its terms and services page, the company asserted that players who continue “falsifying [your] location, using emulators, modified or unofficial software and/or accessing Pokémon GO clients or backends in an unauthorized manner including through the use of third-party software” will face permanent ban from the Pokémon universe.
Hence, players from countries where the game is banned could face a heartbreaking lifetime penalty. Moreover, players who use third-party application programming interfaces for improving their levels will also be outlawed.
The company also allocated an online form for players who were unjustly banned from the game and pleaded players not to post desperate appeals on social media.
“Our goal is to provide a fair, fun and legitimate game experience for everyone. We will continue to work with all of you to improve the quality of the gameplay, including ongoing optimization and fine-tuning of our anti-cheat system,” the statement read.
