TrueVisions announced Monday that it will air six new channels starting on January 1, 2017.

Thailand’s largest subscription TV operator made the announcement after the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission approved TrueVisions’ request to stop airing HBO, Cinemax, HBO Signature, HBO Family, HBO Hit and Red By HBO.

Apart from the six new channels, Suphakit Vuntanadi, Group Chief Commercial Officer and head of Commercial & Business Development TrueVisions, True Corporation PLC, said TrueVisions will also start airing two more new channels, including True Films HD 2, in March.

He said the subscribers will also get their current subscription package upgraded by one level as a New Year gift for the month of January.

Moreover, Platinum package subscribers will get 1,000 True Reward Points as a New Year gift.

Meanwhile, Natee Sukonrat, chairman of the broadcasting committee of NBTC, said TrueVisions informed his committee that it would offer the six new channels as replacements from the six HBO channels whose broadcast would be ended on January 1.
