Exam cheating gang will face strong legal action: police chief

PEOPLE involved in cheating during police entrance exams last month have been found to have committed similar offences in tests for other state agencies, and will face serious action, deputy Bangkok police chief Pol Maj-General Adul Narongsak said Tuesday.

After attending a two-hour meeting with investigators at Phaholyothin Police Station, Adul said officers were going to apply for more arrest warrants. 

He said the team had gathered up to 90 per cent of the evidence it wants, but he refused to elaborate on how many applicants and suspects were involved. He only said the public should wait for the official exam result announcement later this week, as police would have a clearer idea on who the perpetrators were.
