The Dhammakaya Temple has allowed the authorities to go inside to conduct a search for elusive Phra Dhammachayo, Department of Special Investigation chief Pol Col Paisit Wongmuang said.

He said the authorities started the search from Gate 8 at 11:30 am.

The authorities will gradually search throughout the temple starting from all the gates.

Paisit said the authorities will carry out the search to try to bring Phra Dhammachayo to justice.

At 1:15 pm, DSI officials used an iron cutter to remove a chain at Gate 1 of the temple.

Then, officials went inside the temple’s compound at 1:20 pm without being opposed by the temple’s followers. A group of followers were praying near the gate.
