Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha will chair a Cabinet meeting Tuesday to decide on the fate of the coal-fired power plant in Krabi.

The government on Sunday reached an agreement with power-plant protesters and pledged to revisit the public-participation process in the EHIA study, ending demonstrations in Bangkok and prolonged protests over the past two years.

But the protesters and academics were not certain whether the decision would mean the cancellation of the project or just a buying time. Hence, they said they would wait for a clear resolution from the Cabinet Tuesday.
