The US hopes that Thailand will engage public participation in achieving its “road map to democracy” and in reconciliation efforts, according to meeting between the US Ambassador to Thailand Glyn T Davies and Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Gen Prawit Wongsuwan on Monday.

An-hour meeting also involved other issues such as Thailand-hosted Cobra Gold military exercise, public health, law enforcement, and people-to-people relations between the two countries.

Davies said after the meeting that the discussion was rather in depth but did not reveal the details due to his consideration to Prawit.
