Communications officers of the Pathum Thani-based Dhammakaya Temple told a press conference on Tuesday that the temple had nothing to do with the digging of a ditch and the erection of an oil drum blockade near the temple.

The monks led media members to inspect the ditch near the temple's Boonraksa Building and Gate 13 in the morning. The monks claimed such actions stemmed from a resolution by temple disciples, who were worried about security after some state officers' car had run over a fence. Some 200-litre oil drums were set up to hold green plastic nets in place.

The Department of Special Investigation spokesman, Woranan Srilam, said the agency would check if the digging of the ditch was done on state land.
