Sunday’s fire at power plant’s biomass fuels pile put out Monday
A massive fire at a huge pile of biomass fuels at a power plant in Nakhon Ratchasima’s Chokchai district was put out early on Monday.
The fire at the plant of Advanced Agro-Power Plant in Tambon Chokchai started on Sunday afternoon.
The 500-tonne pile of biomass fuels caught fire apparently because of accumulated heat, police said.
Forty-five fire engines were dispatched to control the blaze. The fire was put out at 2.30am after it caused damages worth more than Bt5 million.
