Nearly 900,000 on low incomes register for welfare in two days
The Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives (BAAC), Krung Thai Bank (KTB) and the Government Savings Bank (GSB) reported that a total of 893,581 low-income people had registered for government welfare as of 5pm on Tuesday.
For Monday and Tuesday combined, BAAC reported 441,491 registrations, KTB 170,927 and GSB 281,163.
This second round of registrations commenced on Monday and runs until May 15.
