More than 1.5m low-income people register for welfare so far
The Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives (BAAC), Krungthai Bank (KTB), and the Government Savings Bank (GSB) reported that a total of 1,579,313 low-income people had registered for government welfare as of 5pm on Wednesday.
For Monday through Wednesday combined, BAAC reported 837,270 registrations, KTB 266,637 and GSB 441,442.
This second round of registrations commenced on Monday and runs until May 15.
