Abandoned newborn baby found near garbage bins
Local residents found an abandoned newborn baby near garbage bins early Friday when they went to check why street dogs were barking so loudly in Soi Suranarai in Tambon Nai Mueang in Mueang district.
Police were alerted to the abandoned baby being found at 2.30am. Staff from a local foundation took him to Nakhon Ratchasima provincial hospital.
The baby was found wrapped in a blue and white towel and put inside a clothes bag with newspaper placed over him. His umbilical cord looked freshly cut.
Police vowed to trace and take legal action against the mother.
