The Klaeng district in Rayong will hold its annual four-day fruit fair starting Thursday, highlighting roasted durian, the district chief said.

The fair will be held at a field in front of the district office where tourists will be allowed to try the fruits for free from 1pm to 3pm on Saturday and Sunday, Witthaya Chaphanon said.

The fair will showcase roasted durian, a technique of roasting durian which is mature but not yet ripe so it is ripened by the heat, Witthaya said.

He said the fair will also showcase five fruit orchards designated as tourist agri-tourism sites, including the Ban Rao and Uncle Serm orchards.
